How is professional storytelling working for you?
Do you think it’s not necessary?
A bit of a work in progress? Tell me about it.
Write the story, and then find the insight, lesson or message in it that ties back to your professional existence and also forms the ending.
“With the padlock key in my hand, I turned and said to my Dad “that’s my life in there”. My parents had packed their car full with boxes of my lifetime of things that had been stored in their house. One by one, we carefully stacked the boxes into my 1.5mx2.5mx3m storage unit. Only my best work, my favourite books, and most treasured belongings. I noticed how that mirrored the way I look through the lens – that what really matters is kept in photos, the rest will not be missed.”
This event with my Dad happened two days ago.
I learned to write this story yesterday at Yamini Naidu’s business story telling workshop, held only once per year for the public.
Instructed by Yamini Naidu one of the world’s best business storytellers.
Get onto it, she’s got the goods if you’re wanting to elegantly illustrate your uniqueness in a professional environment using stories.
And of course, if you would like me to tell your story in your Hero Shot & Story which unpacks your value, and packages it back up neatly for presentation, we can do that.
Have a great weekend!
