A couple of years ago in Sydney I photographed Matt, Amy, Anna and Evie in their favourite place – the Royal National Park. At one point Matt was exploring with Anna and they saw a lizard up a tree (if I remember correctly). Firstly I recollect Anna’s very real fear, and secondly how safe she actually was in her Dad’s arms. Besides how adorable Anna actually is, with her little hand fixed to her tummy and genuine concern written across her face, I thought this picture would be perfect for today’s Monday Musing. The image sums up what parents do. They show their children the world but somehow also try to protect them from it, or at the very least, try to prepare them. Matt is showing her the lizard, but at a safe distance out of harm’s way.
What a great Dad he is.
